Laulima Consulting Inc. (“Laulima”, “we”, “us” or “our”) takes steps intended to meet privacy principles and requirements with respect to personal information under applicable Canadian privacy legislation. The purpose of this statement is to inform our clients and other individuals we deal with (“you” or “your”) how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information.  Personal information is information about an identifiable individual, as more particularly described under applicable privacy legislation. This statement applies to our collection, use and disclosure of personal information in Canada. This statement does not apply to information about our employees or to information that is not personal information.

Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It

Laulima generally collects personal information that it requires to provide services requested by clients who have retained us.  Personal information is normally collected directly from our clients and the information that we may collect includes:

  • Information about the total compensation offered by organizations and provided to employees
  • Information about the demographics of employees
  • Information about performance ratings of employees
  • Other related information  

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

Laulima may disclose personal information with your express or implied consent or in certain circumstances including as expressly provided in an Engagement Letter with a client, to service providers that perform services to or on behalf of Laulima, to law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required or permitted by applicable law, and to parties in a commercial transaction related to all or part of Laulima’s business or assets.  We do not disclose personal information to third parties to enable them to market their products and services.

We make use of third-party service providers to store and process data, including personal information, on our behalf. Laulima and its service providers store data and use servers located in Canada for this purpose. We collect, use, or disclose data only as described in this policy, but government, courts, law enforcement, security, and regulatory agencies may be able to obtain access or disclosure of personal information as permitted by law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information using physical, electronic or procedural security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information in our control, which may include safeguards to protect against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
